Seattle’s metallic hardcore force Turian is gearing up to unleash a fierce new chapter with their upcoming album “Blood Quantum Blues”, set for release on June 6 via Wise Blood Records. Known for their furious hardcore energy, this time the band broadens their horizons by blending in a wider range of influences, resulting in one of the freshest and most distinctive heavy releases in recent memory.

For this album, the band decided to throw out the rulebook and dive in from a completely new angle. No creative limits were allowed — the only goal was to make the kind of music they genuinely wanted to hear. Electronic production plays a huge role this time around, reflecting the members’ roots in electronic music before they ever picked up their instruments for metal. Now, those early influences boldly take center stage in Turian’s sound.

On the lyrical front, vocalist Vern Metztli-Moon digs deep into the violent history of America and the enduring scars of colonialism. As a member of the Yaqui people, Vern channels the sorrow and resilience of his ancestors, aiming to break the cycles of generational trauma through raw, unfiltered expression. The album becomes not just a musical eruption, but a deeply personal and cultural statement.

“Blood Quantum Blues” stands tall as both a raging hardcore record and a spiritual weapon — a fierce, fully confident declaration of exactly who Turian are.
