Triptykon’s upcoming album to be released in 2025

After a long time of inactivity on the recording front, Swiss/German avant-garde extreme metal band Triptykon will reunite in 2024 to work on the completion and recording of material for the band’s much-anticipated fourth album. Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment, longtime music business partners, will release the LP in 2025. Triptykon (via the group’s own label Prowling Death Records) signed a new, significantly expanded licensing arrangement with Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment on June 1, 2024. Triptykon’s new music is likely to be previewed onstage or in an EP before the album is released.

Once the composition and arrangement sessions in the band’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, are completed to the band’s satisfaction, Triptykon will move to guitarist V. Santura’s own studios in Bavaria, Germany, to record and mix songs. V. Santura will produce the record once more, together with former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost and current Triptykon singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Thomas Gabriel Fischer (also known as Tom Gabriel Warrior). Given that Triptykon was formed as the direct successor to Celtic Frost, these sessions have a symbolic undertone, as they take place exactly 40 years after Celtic Frost began production on that band’s debut album, “Morbid Tales”.

Triptykon 2024 features Tom Gabriel Warrior (voice/guitar), Vanja Slajh (bass), V. Santura (guitar/vocals), and Hannes Grossmann (drums/percussion). Triptykon is managed by Miles Hackett and represented by Jörg Düsedau through Dragon Productions.
Triptykon’s past albums include “Eparistera Daimones” (2010), “Melana Chasmata” (2014), and “Requiem – Live At Roadburn 2019” (2020).
