The North American people are extremely lucky, especially next year, because this is a tour I wouldn’t even want to miss, even if I live in Europe. TOTO, Christopher Cross, and The Romantics have scheduled a North American tour for the upcoming summer season, as per blabbermouth.net. The tour, organized by Live Nation, will commence on July 15 at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York, and will include 32 performances before concluding on August 30 in Toronto, Ontario, at the RBC Amphitheatre.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 12, at 10 a.m. local time via https://totoofficial.com/events/.
This year has been notably successful for TOTO, with over half a million fans attending their performances and more than a billion streams recorded within the year. The band’s weekly streaming average exceeds 20 million plays across digital service providers, leading to additional certifications throughout the year. Total streams on Spotify surpass four billion, with total streams across all platforms reaching seven billion.
Christopher Cross gained prominence with his 1980 self-titled debut album, which earned five Grammy Awards, including the historic “Big Four” awards: “Record Of The Year,” “Album Of The Year,” “Song Of The Year,” and “Best New Artist.” Over a career spanning more than four decades, Cross has sold more than 12 million albums. His musical achievements include five Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and an Emmy nomination, along with five Top 10 singles.
The Romantics officially formed as a band on Valentine’s Day in 1977. Originating from Detroit’s east side, they drew inspiration from American roots rock, the British Invasion, and their local music scene. Nearly five decades later, they continue to be recognized for producing some of the most influential and cherished rock music in history. Their repertoire includes notable MTV video hits such as “What I Like About You,” “Talking In Your Sleep,” and “One In A Million,” alongside popular tracks like “Rock You Up” and “When I Look In Your Eyes.“
