Torben Ulrich, father of Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, dies aged 95

Torben Ulrich, the father of US thrash metal legend Metallica’s drummer Lars Ulrich, has died at the age of 95.

Ulrich has written an obituary for his father, which you can read here:

“95 years of adventures, unique experiences, curiosity, pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, tennis, music, art, writing…. and quite a bit of Danish contrarian attitude. Thank you endlessly! I love you dad.”
