Tony Iommi is back: the rock legend released a new song “Scent Of Dark”

Tony Iommi, guitarist of the legendary Black Sabbath, has returned to rock with a new solo song. Iommi’s new song is called “Scent Of Dark” and you can watch the video for it below.

The song has been released in support of a new perfume Iommi is launching, which shares a name with the new song. Although Iommi says he knew some of his fans would be surprised by his collaboration with luxury fragrance company Xerjoff, he says the project has been “fun”.

Iommi is joined on the track by bassist Jimmy Crutchley, drummer Ash Sheehan, keyboardist Mike Exter, cellist Rebecca Rose and violinist Julianne Bourne.

Iommi’s previous solo album “Iommi” was released in 2000. The guitarist has since appeared on albums by Ian Gillan and Candlemass. The last album of Black Sabbath’s career, “13”, was released in 2013.
