Tommy Tuovinen of Crownshift has been accused of assault

Crownshift vocalist Tommy Tuovinen has been charged with assault, as reported by inferno. The Helsinki District Court will host the trial starting on November 24. The assault occurred in December 2021, according to information gathered by the District Court. Seiska has learned that a woman was the victim of the assault. Citing the advice of his attorney, Tuovinen declined to comment on the ongoing lawsuit.

Tuovinen and Daniel Freyberg, a former member of Children of Bodom and current touring guitarist for Beast in Black, are members of Crownshift, which was founded in 2022. Heikki Saari, drummer for Finntroll, and Jukka Koskinen, bassist for Nightwish and Wintersun, released their debut album through Nuclear Blast last year. Early in 2026, the band will travel throughout Europe with Beyond the Black.
