Tomahawk reveal that their tour isn’t indicative of new material

Author Benedetta Baldin - 26.2.2026

There won’t be any new music released by Tomahawk as they return to the stage later this year, as per theprp. The alternative metal supergroup revealed this week that they would embark on their first U.S. tour in 13 years, following some disastrous hints earlier this month. Melvins, who are experts in sludge metal, will be going with them on that run. It turns out that the aforementioned group of people, who include members of Faith No More, The Jesus Lizard, Battles, and others, will not be embarking on this journey on the strength of a new record, as some had assumed. Yesterday, February 25th, Tomahawk shattered such hopes on their Facebook page.

As most of you know, today is our artist ticket presale for the upcoming tour dates. Just use the very creative password: FLASHBACK

We tried to keep tickets as affordable as possible for these shows. We know horrible fees get added as well. Sharing the stage with the Melvins makes this an even better deal. There will not be any other band on the bill.

To answer some of the questions we are getting, we will not be adding more cities to this run, we don’t hate your city, we don’t purposely avoid you and we sure as hell don’t hate Canada (we understand that our Canadian friends might not look forward to crossing the border these days, but we do have several shows not too far from you if you can stomach it). There is no new music planned. No meet and greets or any of that special package stuff. Oh and we are not taking song requests, thats not how concerts work.

We are all busy with other things and not as young as we used to be so we crammed as many dates into the period that we were all available. Our booking agent solicits offers and routes the dates based on the offers received. Believe it or not we don’t get offers from EVERY city.

As of this very moment, we do not have any other touring plans in 2026. However, we are in constant contact with our agents and working on our individual schedules to see if there is interest and we might have time to visit more of you, in other countries, in 2027. Stay tuned. Thank you for welcoming us back!
