Tom Morello releases new merchandise – and controversy sparks

Tom Morello has never been afraid to voice his political opinions, as theprp reports. He is the guitarist for bands like Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine, which have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His recent items, which include flags featuring the protest-oriented phrases of ‘Nazi Lives Don’t Matter’ and ‘Destroy American Fascism’ have been creating the expected heated discussions. However, both seem to have found a welcome audience; as of the time of publication, this Instagram post announcing the drop has received over 116k likes in just a day. Similarly, this Facebook post on the flags has received almost 20,000 likes and 3,000 comments, ranging from outspoken support and demonstrations of sympathy to ridicule and outright condemnation.

Stickers that read “Feed The Power Fight The Power Rock The Fuck Out” are also available as part of this drop through tomorello.shop. Morello‘s name appears in smaller text on each of the aforementioned things. These new items are the most recent in Morello‘s line of politically charged merchandise releases, which also include shirts with the slogans “Destroy American Fascism,” “Deport Racists,” “Nazi Lives Don’t Matter,” and “We Don’t Negotiate With Racists.” During his frequent attendance at protests, Morello has also previously been spotted carrying signs with some of these phrases. Morello has already openly refuted claims that members of Rage Against The Machine have demonstrated loyalty to either of the two main political camps in the United States.

…No one from RATM has ever publicly supported a dem or repub candidate. EVER.
