Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying responds to comments about his comeback

Author Benedetta Baldin - 12.10.2025

After being silent for a few months, Tim Lambesis has returned with a new song called “Echoes“, as reported by MetalInjection. He also has a new version of As I Lay Dying, which features Chris Clancy on bass, Bill Hudson and Don Vedda on guitars, Jack Daniels on guitars, and Tim Yeung on drums. Instead of celebrating the ‘fresh beginning’ for As I Lay Dying, Lambesis decided to address some hateful remarks that were making the rounds online. One of his responses, in particular, frames him as a victim, even though he says he isn’t.

I agree because I don’t consider myself a victim. This is the best quality of life for me thus far and all the loss from last year is one of the greatest blessings I’ve ever had in my life. So thankful. Maybe you misunderstand me standing up against false narratives about me as me thinking I’m a victim. I’m just part of the few people in society who cares to dig for truth rather than the media’s narrative.

Frontman Tim Lambesis has faced criticism over the band’s repeated comeback attempts. Some dismiss the effort as nothing more than a “cash grab.” Lambesis, however, has pushed back against that claim, saying he’s sacrificed a lot personally to make it happen. On Instagram, he stated:

0% chance you have even the slightest idea how the music industry works. I sold all my motorcycles just to get this back on track. It’s pure passion.
