Those Saturdays out there, photographing Volbeat in Zurich… 25.10

There aren’t many historical bands that are more iconic than Volbeat. And since earlier this year (in May, to be precise) I had the honor of interviewing the amazing lead singer Michael Poulsen about his history as a metal frontman, it was only fair that the task of photographing them fell on me too. But hey, you will not read any complaints! So I hopped on a bus to Zurich, and was ready for a night of epic proportions. The walls of the Hallenstadion are still resounding from the power that the Danish band has brought: the setlist spaced from classic (like “Still Counting“) to new hits (like “Demonic Depression“, and covers too (like the fantastic “Ring Of Fire“), that got the whole audience singing, jumping, and overall wanting for more. It seems like we can’t get enough of Volbeat around here! Opening acts were the very interesting Bush and the fresh Witch Fever. Both bands hail from the United Kingdom, and both delivered a pretty solid show despite performing slightly different subgenres. You can enjoy the photo gallery right here!
