“There is new music in the works” – interview with Kalmah’s Antti Kokko

In the warm waters of the Caribbean in late January 2025, the world’s largest metal cruise event, 70000TONS OF METAL, was once again held. While outside the sun was shining and temperatures rose pleasantly, inside, the Nordic melodic death metal force was raging as Kalmah conquered the cruise audience with two special sets, playing their albums “They Will Return” and “Swampsong” in their entirety.

During the cruise, Chaoszine sat down with the band’s guitarist Antti Kokko and discussed the band’s decision to play through two different albums on the cruise and what the future looks like for the band regarding their upcoming 10th studio album. You can watch the full video interview here:
