“There is about half of the songs written for our next album musically” – interview with Testament’s Alex Skolnick

Formed in 1983 in California’s Bay Area, Testament emerged as one of the pioneering forces behind the thrash metal movement, alongside bands like Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. Throughout their career, Testament has weathered lineup changes and industry fluctuations while maintaining their unwavering commitment to their craft. They have consistently released critically acclaimed albums, including “The Gathering” (1999), “The Formation of Damnation” (2008), and “Brotherhood of the Snake” (2016), demonstrating their musical versatility and evolution.

Renowned for their high-octane energy on stage, the band delivers unforgettable shows filled with intense headbanging anthems and captivating stage presence. The band played a show at Copenhell festival in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 15th and Chaoszine sat down with guitarist Alex Skolnick to discuss about the band’s new drummer Chris Dovas as well as the upcoming album which the band has plans to unleash in 2024.
