The S.E.T. part ways with Brady Ebert (formerly of Turnstile)

Author Benedetta Baldin - 7.2.2026

Brady Ebert, the guitarist for The S.E.T., is not a member of the band anymore, as per theprp. The hardcore group, who last month announced that their debut EP, “Self Evident Truth,” will be released on March 6th, made the public announcement that Ebert had been fired today, February 6th. In recent weeks, Ebert, a former member of Turnstile, had been active on social media, commenting negatively about his former bandmates and having other contentious conversations with different people.

Brady is no longer a member of THE S.E.T. We will not stand by his ridiculous comments and behavior toward the members of our band and our community. We will continue to put on for Baltimore hardcore and thank everyone for their support.

Ebert posted this in his instagram story:

Have no clue what statements “The set” (self evident truth— a name I came up with btw) but I haven’t made any statements about anyone except turnstile that arent completely true

Ive been blocked from the bands instagram for about a week and thought it was deleted until yesterday. And have texted with band members as recent as a day or two ago but they haven’t attempted to contact me

Upcoming shows;

  • Friday, March 20, 2026 – Cleveland, OH
  • Saturday, March 21, 2026 – Baltimore, MD
  • Sunday, March 22, 2026 – Richmond, VA
  • Friday, April 24, 2026 – Timmonsville, SC

The band was formed in early 2024 through jam sessions with drummer Ryan (previously of End It), guitarist Brady (formerly of Turnstile), and bassist Che (founder of Flatspot Records). The search for a vocalist started after they finished writing the instrumentals for seven songs and were prepared to add lyrics to the music. The S.E.T. was finished when Che persuaded Tim to try out as a vocalist after spotting him leaping on stage and snatching the microphone at the Disturbin’ The Peace Festival.
