Brady Ebert, a guitarist, has asked his followers to stop supporting his now-defunct band The S.E.T., as per theprp. That hardcore group fired Ebert last month, about a month before their debut EP, “Self Evident Truth,” was released on March 6th. Brady’s dismissal followed derogatory remarks he made about his former bandmates in melodic hardcore stars Turnstile, as well as apparent heated exchanges with and about other people. On March 6th, Ebert shared on his Instagram story that although he was pleased of his work with The S.E.T., he urged followers not to support the band. The S. E.T. has remained a trio thus far, and Ebert’s replacement is still pending. In the meantime, Ebert has recovered with Experience, a new band.
The S.e.t. Ep came out today. Check it out on Spotify or somewhere streaming but dont support the band, as at this point it’s more a cover band than anything. I’m proud of the sound I created and the riffs on that album, as well as the whole art direction and image that I contributed.
I’m not normally one to talk on the internet or publicly as anyone who knows me knows but misinformation and lying are becoming an epidemic in this world
Upcoming shows by The S.E.T.:
The band was formed in early 2024 through jam sessions with drummer Ryan (previously of End It), guitarist Brady (formerly of Turnstile), and bassist Che (founder of Flatspot Records). The search for a vocalist started after they finished writing the instrumentals for seven songs and were prepared to add lyrics to the music. The S.E.T. was finished when Che persuaded Tim to try out as a vocalist after spotting him leaping on stage and snatching the microphone at the Disturbin’ The Peace Festival.
