With a unique treat for both new and returning fans, The Pretty Reckless is kicking off the holiday season, as reported by blabbermouth.net. A thrilling, updated version of the iconic holiday classic “Where Are You Christmas” was released by the chart-topping band, which was led by Taylor Momsen. Momsen formerly played Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 movie “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.” “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas,” The Pretty Recklesss forthcoming holiday EP, will feature the song. It will be released online on October 31 and physically on November 14 through Fearless Records.

Revisiting ‘Where Are You Christmas’ 25 years later feels like coming home to a part of myself I hadn’t seen in a long time. I was just a child when I first sang it, and I never could’ve imagined the way the song, and the film, would stay with people for so long and unknowingly shape my career path as an adult. Recording it now, with all the life I’ve lived in between, I hear it through a different lens.. but the heart of it is the same. It’s about wonder, hope, and holding on to the magic — something I think we all need more than ever. Taylor Momsen

For the first time since the publication of “The Grinch” twenty-five years ago, Momsen has returned to the tune, transforming the endearing melody for generations into a rock anthem. The performance, which marks the film’s 25th anniversary, is a daring remake for a new generation as well as a tribute to the classic. Momsen connects the dots between her early Hollywood days and the unreserved artistry that has characterized The Pretty Reckless’s sound by bringing new life to the classic song with her powerful vocals and distinctive edge. With their signature sound, “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas” will include four more original holiday songs. The EP demonstrates that even Christmas music can be rock ‘n’ roll, showcasing The Pretty Reckless at their most energetic.
