The one time when Lamb of God plays Christian metal

Author Benedetta Baldin - 24.12.2025

Some unfortunate fans of Lamb of God may have experienced a surprising incident over the weekend, as per theprp. An event scheduled for December 20th at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, SC was advertised as a performance by the renowned Richmond, VA groove metal band on the popular ticket resale platform StubHub.

In reality, the event titled “Andrew Peterson’s Behold The Lamb Of God” was centered around Christian musician and author Andrew Peterson’s 2004 conceptual album, “Behold The Lamb Of God: The True Tall Tale Of The Coming Of Christ,” which is themed around the Christmas season and the advent of Jesus Christ.

The discrepancy is evident from the listing screenshot on StubHub, which likely contributed to the confusion. The event was actually the final stop of Peterson’s 13-date U.S. tour for the album, making the mistake particularly embarrassing for StubHub. As a result, StubHub issued an apology and provided refunds to those affected by the error.

We acknowledge the listing for the December 20 event at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium was misleading and apologize for the confusion this caused. Ahead of the show we updated the event page and reached out to customers to clarify the event details. Anyone who purchased tickets under the impression this was a different performance is encouraged to contact us—we’ll honor a full refund under our FanProtect Guarantee.

Lamb of God concluded their performances for the year in November, and vocalist Randy Blythe responded to the incident humorously via his Instagram story.

We usually play @groundzerovenue NOT Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. This why StubHub Sucks. Merry Christmas, Spartanburg.

I mean, who wouldn’t want Lamb of God playing at their event?

This recent confusion echoes a similar incident from 2014, when Lamb of God‘s logo was used without authorization on promotional materials for an annual Easter-themed event held in Salem, VA.
