The New England Metal & Hardcore Festival goes into hiatus

The yearly “New England Metal and Hardcore Festival” will not take place in 2026, as per theprp. The long-running festival’s organizers posted the following statement on social media yesterday, January 16, about their intended absence this year. The “New England Metal and Hardcore Festival” started in 1999 and is held annually in Worcester, Massachusetts. Before taking a five-year break that ended in 2023, its initial run continued until 2016.

After a great run, we’re taking 2026 off. This isn’t goodbye — it’s just a breather.

NEMHF will return. Thank you for always showing up and making this fest what it is
