Regarding the successor they selected for Craig “133” Jones, Slipknot has been doing a pretty good job, considering their history of keeping information about their new hires confidential. Since last year, the group has been performing with an unidentified musician controlling the keyboards, media, samples, and other instruments. Although Zac Baird was initially believed to be the person behind the mask, in April of last year, an incorrect filename led maggots in a different direction, with everyone focusing on Jeff Karnowski, the former bassist for Dirty Little Rabbits. M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, percussionist for Slipknot, had a side band called that group, which included Michael Pfaff. 2021 saw Pfaff join Slipknot, and he was nicknamed “Tortilla Man”. Pfaff took up Chris Fehn’s tasks.

Since then, not much has changed regarding the mystery musician’s identity. Kelly Osbourne, fiancée of Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, was present during the band’s performance at the “Rocklahoma” festival in Pryor, Oklahoma on September 1st. Using Osbourne’s Instagram stories, the pair shared photos and videos of their time backstage while their young son Sidney was with them. The couple’s kid is seen cuddling up with singer Corey Taylor in a photo that has been posted, but in the background, the mysterious man from before seems to be taking off his mask. After seeing this most recent evidence, followers of the group appear to be growing more convinced that Karnowski is the person hiding behind the mask. The aforementioned shot is displayed below:
