Canadian rock band The Listros will release their upcoming new single “Walking In The Dark” on June 28. Pre-save the song here.
Adrenaline-fueled and hanging on the edge, comprised of Toronto-based brothers Sean (lead vocals, guitar, producer/songwriter) & Evan (drums, co-songwriter) The Listros are a force of hard energetic rock blasting through the world in the realm of living free.
Their debut EP was co-written and co-produced with Juno Award-winning producer Exclap (Billy Talent, Metric, Underoath, Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, Bob Moses, Delaney Jane, Olivia Lunny, Shaun Frank, REZZ, Tiesto, Zeds Dead MKLA) and recorded with Emmy Award winner and Juno-nominated producer Ross Hayes Citrullo (Sheepdogs, AWOLNATION, Moneen, Marianas Trench, and Monster Truck).
The Listros’ first single “Into The Otherside,” was released in November 2023, went viral on Tik-Tok before it was out and streamed 400,000 times on Spotify in its first three months. Their follow-up single “Hands Against The Wall” streamed over 200,000 times in its first two months and was featured on a billboard in NYC at Time Square.
Their sound is heavily influenced by rock bands of the 90s and 2000s, as well as modern EDM incorporating a blend of electronic elements with heavy guitar riffs into their music. The raw belting choruses of bands like Muse or Audioslave, the raunchy tension-filled guitar riffs and synths of Nine Inch Nails, blended with the edgy and authentic songwriting of Nirvana all make up the sound of The Listros.
The Listros sold out their debut show at The El Mocambo (400 cap.) in Toronto on April 21, 2023. Their live show consists of a 5-piece band which includes Eddy Ruyter (keyboard, synth, guitar), and David Haskett (bass guitar, back-vocals) who both toured together with Shawn Mendes as well as Toronto producer, lead-guitarist and vocalist, Logan Trearty. The show consists of live-visuals synced to their music with a massive lighting production.
With their songs centred on freedom of expression and living an authentic life not based on social expectations, The Listros are taking the rock music scene by storm with their project that has been years in the making.
