The two Gascon organic farmers, The Inspector Cluzo, are thrilled to announce the release of the second single – “As Stupid As You Can” – from their forthcoming soberly titled “Less Is More” 10th album, due on the 6th June 2025.
The single is accompanied by a video available here. Directed and edited byLorenzo De La Maza, the video was filmed on the band’s Gascon farm Lou Casse.
Showcasing The Inspector Cluzo unique soundscape, the song refers to the book ” The Society Of The Spectacle” written by Guy Debord in 1967. In describing the future development of our society, the philosopher foresaw the hard consequences of the mass-consumption and hyper materialistic culture. In fact, he predicted that on the long term one of the plausible outcomes could be that the: “Truth would be just a moment of the False“. Sounds familiar?
The band’s 10th album, “Less Is More”, was once again recorded with Vance Powell (The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Seasick Steve) in Nashville in 2024. The album was recorded completely live in four days and mixed in three. Powell succeeded in catching the band tracksless, no-playback organic live energy which has made the band such a live tour de force.
The concept of the album and all lyrics is inspired by Henry David Thoreau and Guy Debord.
The album deals with the bands very real concerns about Post-Growing that they apply at their organic Farm and also in the music business economy .Self-financed at 100% refusing to sign with any major or any hedge funds for touring. They mirror these farming principle’s in their dealings in the music business – such as making efforts to balance their carbon footprint.
