The Grindmother says goodbye to music with two shows this winter

The Grindmother will perform two last shows after a seven-year hiatus. Unfortunately, these last appearances come after the improbable 77-year-old grind vocalist was recently diagnosed with dementia. Cattle Decapitation, Aborted, Frozen Soul, and Tribal Gaze are also scheduled to perform at this send-off, which will take place on December 5 at Club Soda in Montreal, Quebec, and December 6 at The Concert Hall in Toronto, Ontario.

We wanted her to have a proper farewell for the fans she loves more than anything. We’re beyond thankful to Travis Ryan and Cattle Decapitation for the opportunity to bring her in front of such a large audience. And of course, to our fellow Canadian grindcore family in Fuck The Facts who have graciously accepted the call. This will be a great celebration. These will be her final live appearances, but it won’t be the last you’ll hear from us. We’re working on new music, and there’s a lot more to come. Rayny Forster
