The future of Rock is here – Yungblud at Ilosaarirock

Ilosaarirock Festival in Joensuu, Finland, opened its doors again to thousand of people. With the festival lasting three days and having four stages in total, it brings out quite a few well known Finnish, but also international artists. The festival is famous for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere and hosts all type of music – from rap and pop, to rock and metal.

We checked out Ilosaarirock’s rock and metal bands and artists of 2025!

Day one had the absolutely amazing British artist Yungblud, who recently played at Black Sabbath‘s farewell show. Ilosaarirock also welcomed the Mongolian folk metal band The Hu on their main stage, the Finnish heavy metal, black metal band Havukruunu and from UK the post-hardcore band Caskets.
