Linkin Park has already performed at their first stop on their international reunion tour, following their set that was aired live late last week. Last night, September 11th, the diamond-certified nü-metal/alternative rock group performed at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, to formally usher in their new chapter. The band’s return has not been without some anticipated personnel changes, as they disclosed last Thursday. Chester Bennington, who passed away, was replaced as co-lead vocalist by Dead Sara‘s Emily Armstrong. Colin Brittain has taken Rob Bourdon’s place on the reunion as the drummer. Moving ahead, guitarist Brad Delson will still be in the band, but he has made the decision not to go on tour with them. Alex Feder will take his place on stage. The three previously stated members are joined by Mike Shinoda, a vocalist and guitarist, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, a bassist and vocalist, and Joe Hahn, a turntablist and vocalist. The band is moving forward with their full-fledged comeback, which will include the November 15th release of their eighth studio album, “From Zero,” even if Armstrong’s joining is still a contentious decision.
Setlist:
Not only were a few songs played for the first time in almost ten years, but the live premiere of “Friendly Fire,” the b-side to “One More Light,” which was published earlier this year, also took place during that performance. During the event, “Keys To The Kingdom,” from 2014, also had its debut live performance. Two separate viewpoints of fan-filmed footage of the complete set have appeared online. Below, you can participate in it. Next week, the band will resume their tour in New York City, NY, and has scheduled the following stops:
