American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada are set to release their ninth studio album, “Flowers”, on November 14th via Solid State Records. To mark the occasion, the band has unveiled a double single — “Where the Flowers Never Grow” and “Wave” — alongside a short film titled “That Same Place Where the Flowers Never Grow”.
According to guitarist and clean vocalist Jeremy DePoyster, “Where the Flowers Never Grow” deals with the loneliness and inner struggles that can remain even when life appears good on the outside. He described the track as a reflection of the mental space “where flowers never grow,” and hopes listeners find comfort in knowing they’re not alone in those dark moments.
DePoyster also noted that “Flowers” represents 20 years of highs and lows for the band, capturing a raw and authentic look at life’s chaos. The album cycle follows a busy year for the band, including the amphitheater-filling Summer of Loud tour and their first-ever chart appearance on both Mediabase and Billboard’s Active Rock charts with the single “For You”.
With over two decades of blending heavy intensity and emotional melody, The Devil Wears Prada continue to evolve. “Flowers” looks set to be one of their most personal and ambitious records yet.
