When a series based on The Addams Family is commissioned by the streaming service Netflix and no one less than mastermind Tim Burton is hired as a director for some of its episodes, one can not only hope for beautiful aesthetics, but also for a great soundtrack. Currently, a dance scene with the main character Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), which is musically accompanied by The Cramps‘ “Goo Goo Muck“, is causing quite a stir. So much so that Netflix has published a stand-alone video of said dance scene from its new series “Wednesday” on the online video platform YouTube. You can check out the full scene below:

The Cramps were formed in 1976, and the American gothabilly band split for good after the death of frontman Lux Interior in 2009. Contrary to popular belief, “Goo Goo Muck” is not originally from The Cramps, but from Ronnie Cook & The Gaylads. The song first saw the light of day in 1962.
