With a series of performances in the second half of June and the first few days of July, The Callous Daoboys have strengthened their summer touring schedule across Europe, as per theprp.

On April 1, 2017, The Callous Daoboys released My Dixie Wrecked, their debut EP. The band’s second EP, Animal Tetris, was released on December 1st of that year. The band’s original lineup was last heard on this release. Early in 2018, the band lost bassist Claire Darling and drummer Alex Jerral; Jackie Buckalew became the new bassist and Sam Williamson became the new drummer. The band’s first studio album, Die on Mars, was released by Dark Trail Records on June 21, 2019. The CD was well received and brought the band a lot of recognition.

The Callous Daoboys announced their agreement to MNRK Music Group on March 19, 2022, along with the release of a single titled “A Brief Article Regarding Time Loops” in anticipation of the release of their second studio album. On September 2, 2022, their second album, “Celebrity Therapist”, was made available. The band announced on January 2, 2024, that they will be recording their third full-length album with Gatherers drummer Adam Cichocki later that year. The album would be titled “I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven”. On May 16, 2025, the album was made available.

The band has identified themselves as a nu metal band, naming The Dillinger Escape Plan, Botch, Korn, Slipknot, Linkin Park, and System of a Down as their main influences. They have been described as a blend of mathcore and emo.
