The Awakening: Music video for “Haunting” released

The South African gothic rock band The Awakening has released a new single, entitled “Haunting“, along with a music video. You can check out the video below:

The music video was realised by The Awakening frontman Ashton Nyte who comments on the new release as follows:

“I’m excited to share The Awakening’s new video, ‘Haunting’ with you today! Following the intensity and social commentary of ‘Mirror Midnight’ (which has already amassed over 1.1 million views!), creating something on the other side of the spectrum was a lot of fun. ‘Haunting’ celebrates old-school Gothic Rock, with a suitable dose of Post-Punk swagger and a wink at the camera. It’s probably the most whimsical song on the album and one I greatly look forward to playing live later this year. I wanted the video to capture some campy Horror B-Movie goodness, and I am very happy with the result! The Awakening will announce a series of international tours soon, including the EU, USA, Mexico and the UK.”

After “Mirror Midnight“, “Haunting” is the second single from The Awakening‘s 12th studio album “The Awakening” which was released on 18 October 2024 via Intervention Arts.
