The event’s archival channel has posted professionally shot video of Rage Against The Machine‘s performance at the 2008 Pinkpop festival in Landgraaf, NET. As reported from theprp, the band made a political statement at the beginning of that June 1st, that year’s show, likely in response to the torture, abuse, and incarceration occurring at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp. The rap-metal firebrands, who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, performed fourteen songs throughout their performance. Over the years, Rage Against the Machine would perform at the Pinkpop festival four times. The band returned the following year, in 1994, after their initial visit in 1993. They would later perform it once again in 1996, and this 2008 set was their last appearance at the yearly gathering. Only the band’s 1996 concert has been made available on the Pinkpop Archive channel thus far.
