The all-star heavy metal soundtrack of “Freddy Vs. Jason” will be soon released on vinyl

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.8.2025

Finally, the 2003 horror crossover “Freddy Vs. Jason”‘s soundtrack is receiving the vinyl treatment it deserves. This pressing is the soundtrack’s first time ever appearing on wax and is scheduled for release on October 10 through Real Gone Music. The reissue will be available on 2-LP red smoke vinyl and is limited to just 1500 copies, making it an essential collector for aficionados of both metal and horror. In addition to being a confrontation between horror titans Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, “Freddy Vs. Jason” was a display of the most powerful forces in heavy music when it debuted in theaters in 2003. The soundtrack provided a glimpse of the heyday of the heavy music movement in the early 2000s by bringing together a who’s who of nu-metal, groove metal, metalcore, and alternative metal.
