“The album has a hollow and dark vibe to it” – interview with Katatonia’s Nico Elgstrand

Swedish mastodons of gloom and sorrow, Katatonia have recently officially parted ways with one of the band founders Anders Nyström, in the meantime, this news may be overshadowed by the fact that the band is releasing a new album “Nightmares As Extensions of the Waking State” on the 6th of June via Napalm Records.

Chaoszine had a chat with band’s guitarist Nico Elgstrand about the most poetic album title ever, homage to Scorpions in one of the songs, being forced to be gloomy on happy days and many other cool things. You can check out the interview below:
