A third single has been released by the Dutch progressive metalcore band Textures, as theprp reports. The group is preparing to launch their first new album since reuniting in 2023, scheduled for release on January 23rd. The album is titled “Genotype” and will be distributed through Kscope. The latest track from the album is named “Vanishing Twin.” Drummer Stef Broks provided remarks regarding this new song.
I have two relatives who struggle with the so-called Lost or Vanishing Twin syndrome. This happens when two foetuses emerge in the womb, but one of them is absorbed by the woman’s body or the other twin. The remaining child that is being born will often deal with the traumatic feeling of having lost a brother/sister and this can shape their life in a significant way.
