While performing live alongside Australian hard rock icons AC/DC, The Pretty Reckless singer/guitarist Taylor Momsen appears to have developed a habit of getting unwanted bites, as per theprp. Momsen disclosed on social media today, April 8, that she was bitten by a poisonous spider while touring Mexico City with AC/DC this week. She made the quip, “When are my super powers going to kick in?” in the video below. — a reference to the Marvel superhero “Spider-Man’s” beginnings.
She can also be seen getting an injection from attending medical personnel outside of the wound being treated in the video. Unfortunately, Momsen already has some expertise in this area. In the spring of 2024, she was bitten by a bat onstage while performing with AC/DC in Seville, Spain. Similar to this most recent injury, she needed medical care thereafter, but in this case, that meant multiple shots to avoid a possible rabies case. The promotion of The Pretty Reckless‘ upcoming new album “Dear God” won’t be harmed by the headlines around this most recent strange bite. Fearless Records has set a June 26th release date for the hard rock group.
So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit…this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl?
