Stockholm d-beat thrash duo Nattskri will release their debut EP “Blasfemisk Kängthrash” on March 6, 2026 through Majestic Mountain Records. For now, the band has shared the first single, “Dödens Hunger efter kött”, which is available to stream.

The project revolves around Freezing Jon, a longtime metal devotee who launched Nattskri in 2015. He teamed up with drummer Jonas Ohlsson, known from Septic Grave, Mr Death, and The Grifted. However, Jon wrote, recorded, and produced the material himself during the early phase. He also chose to perform the vocals in Swedish to keep the delivery direct and uncompromising.

The EP opens with “Invokation”, where ritualistic elements meet sharp riffing. Meanwhile, “Prometeus Låga” leans into faster punk driven momentum. As a whole, the material combines minor key melodies, driving d-beat rhythms, and flashes of classic heavy metal influence.

Nattskri recorded “Blasfemisk Kängthrash” at Studio Pulverisera and in the woods around Stockholm. The EP also features guest appearances from Phil Assheton on piano and Abbe Enström on acoustic guitar. Rather than polishing the sound too much, the band keeps the production raw and straightforward.

“Blasfemisk Kängthrash” arrives on March 6, 2026 via Majestic Mountain Records.
