Bristol hardcore post-metal act Svalbard have revealed the full schedule for the European leg of their farewell tour. The UK post metal group decided earlier this year to end their career, and they now move toward their last run of shows with clear intent.
Fans already felt the shift when the band wrapped their final UK dates in November and released their last song, “If We Could Still Be Saved”. The track arrived with sharp emotion, and it marked the start of their final chapter.
Their European dates begin on May 1 in Paris at Glazart and closes with Hamburg on May 10 in Bruges, Belgium. Each show gives fans one more chance to experience the band’s intense mix of post metal, punk energy and stark emotion.
The group also plan two final festival stops. They will appear at Prepare The Ground in Toronto from May 29 to 31. Later in the summer they return home for ArcTanGent in Bristol from August 19 to 22. These shows complete their long farewell. Although the band move toward the end, they still carry a sense of purpose, and their final dates show a desire to finish strong.
