Canadian punk-pop band Sum 41 has unleashed their new single “Landmines“, the group’s first new song in four years.
The song, released via Rise Records, comes as the Ontario-born outfit plans to disband following the release of a final LP and a farewell tour, yet to be announced.
“When I wrote ‘Landmines’ I had no intention of writing an old school ‘pop punk’ song“, commented vocalist Deryck Whibley of the new track. “It just came out really quickly and I knew right away that this song felt special to me.”
“Landmines” is the first single from Sum 41‘s final double album “Heaven :x: Hell”.
