Michigan metalcore veterans Still Remains have released their first new track in over a decade, “The Wound And The Weapon.” The song features guest vocals from Guy Kozowyk of The Red Chord. You can listen to the track below and on major streaming platforms.

The track made its live debut at Furnace Fest 2025, where fans got an early glimpse of the long-awaited comeback. The studio version doesn’t disappoint. It’s packed with the melodic aggression and emotional punch that defined Still Remains at their peak. Kozowyk’s ferocious contribution adds an extra edge, making it a powerful return.

In recent months, the band also wrapped up tracking their long-awaited comeback EP with producer Lee Albrecht of Hollow Front. This marks their first new release since 2013’s “Ceasing To Breathe.” Announcing the news on social media, the band thanked Albrecht for reigniting their creative spark after such a long break. They also teased that they’re now shifting focus toward rehearsals and future live performances.

Formed in the early 2000s, Still Remains built a loyal following with their mix of melodic hooks and crushing metalcore. They built aggression across three full-length albums before disbanding in 2008. After reforming in 2011, they dropped “Ceasing To Breathe” two years later but have remained quiet ever since—until now. With the new single out and the EP on its way, it seems the Michigan outfit is fully ready to make their return to the scene.
