California-based deathcore outfit Spite have unleashed their latest single “Looking Glass”, featuring guest vocals by Boundaries frontman Matt McDougal. The track delivers one of the band’s most emotionally charged performances to date.
Frontman Darius Tehrani revealed that the song was born out of personal loss, written as a way to process the passing of his father. He explained that it explores the pain of being unable to fully grieve and the anger that comes with it. Tehrani expressed gratitude to Matt McDougal for on such an emotionally significant track.
Musically, “Looking Glass” erupts with storm-force riffs, relentless blast beats, and anguished vocals that embody the track’s emotional intensity. The collaboration with McDougal adds a new layer of raw power, blending distinct vocal ferocity and emotional weight.
The new single paves the way for Spite’s upcoming full-length “New World Killer”, arriving October 31 through Rise Records. The album can be preordered from here. The band will also hit the road this fall, joining Fit For A King and Make Them Suffer on tour.
