Southpaw FLHC are working on new music – despite the controversies

Hardcore band Southpaw FLHC has pledged to continue despite apparently being dropped by their label Spinefarm over accusations of racism, as per theprp. The aforementioned accusations led to the cancellation of the group’s touring plans in support of the July release of their full-length first album, “The Standard.” The tours were cancelled as a result of numerous venues, promoters, and opening acts distancing themselves from the band. Southpaw FLHC has strongly refuted the accusations in a number of statements. The band’s recently released video below shows that they are now concentrating on writing songs for their upcoming album. More information will be released, but they plan to provide it in 2027.

With their self-titled EP, which was released in 2020, Southpaw FLHC, who combine elements of punk, metal, and hip hop to bridge the gap between the ancient and new generations of hardcore, took the scene by storm. Since then, they have released seven singles along with music videos. The band also embarked on a vigorous road tour, demonstrating their strong DIY ethic. They have toured and shared stages with bands like Blood Comes Cleansing, Tracheotomy, Bodysnatcher, Surfaced, and Hoods, provoking angry moshpits in every place they visited. They started making headlines in 2025 with Cutthroats, Kind Eyes, Unvow, and Resistor.
