Solid State welcomes What Lies Below to the roster + band shares “Return to Nothing”

Solid State Records is thrilled to welcome Harrisburg, PA-based band What Lies Below — Andrew Watson (vocals); Mike Watson (vocals/guitar); Sam Hart (guitar); and Jonah Luteman (drums) — to the label’s roster.

Today, the band shares the video for its debut single for the label, titled “RETURN TO NOTHING.” Watch the video for the spawning, atmospheric, and heavier-than-granite track, which is also laced with synths, here.

“‘Return to Nothing’ is written from the perspective of escaping the dark of I Let It Consume Me,” the band says, referencing its recently released album. “The lyrics explore the struggle to escape a life weighed down by grief, isolation, and the burdens of the past. They follow a journey from darkness and despair toward awakening, with cracks in the darkness revealing glimpses of hope and a way forward.”
