SOEN‘s music video for “Indifferent” premiered online on January 13th, 2026. The track provides a preview of the Swedish progressive metal band’s upcoming album, “Reliance,” scheduled for release on January 16th, as per theprp. The video was directed by Paul M Green, who also filmed the accompanying visual content. This is what the lead singer and dummer had to say about the track.
‘Indifferent‘ is about reliance turning into absence. The quiet shock of realizing that the person you lean on is no longer there emotionally. – Joel Ekelöf
Carried by the fantastic Atlantis string quartet, the song lets tension and restraint speak louder than anger. Connection carries risk, but it’s worth the attempt. – Martin Lopez

SOEN emerged from the shadows of Sweden’s progressive metal scene, not with a whisper but with an uncompromising clarity and resolve. Born from the vision of drummer Martin Lopez, previously known for his tenure with the iconic Opeth, and the introspective voice of vocalist Joel Ekelöf, SOEN swiftly carved out a unique identity, their debut album “Cognitive” (2012) immediately establishing them as a formidable presence.
