Following stories of fans purposefully dropping crowd surfers, which resulted in one attendee suffering significant injuries, Sleep Token‘s Louder Than Life act has drawn criticism. As reported from lambgoat, people in the pit are refusing to bring surfers ahead, with some apparently throwing them out of rage, according to festivalgoers’ social media posts. Jasmine Vidrine, one of the attendees, reported that she was knocked unconscious and had a concussion and slight brain bleed after being tossed onto her head by a crowd surfer. Some fans were even yelling “drop that b***h” during the performance, according to other members of a Louder Than Life Facebook group. Pit etiquette has been rekindled by the event; some believe that crowd surfing is customary, while others contend that it conflicts with supporters who set up barriers to see the concert. Vidrine described what transpired in her piece, which also includes a fair bit of discussion over the claimed activities in the comment section.
