The most recent studio album by Sleep Token, “Even In Arcadia,” has officially achieved gold status in the US, as per theprp. Yesterday, January 26, the masked alternative metal band received that award from the RIAA. Their previous single, “The Summoning,” went on gold in December of 2024, thus this is their second time winning some gold in the US.

“Even In Arcadia,” their fourth studio album overall, debuted with a lot of hoopla and created Billboard chart history during its first week on the charts in May of last year. With an astounding 127,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week of release, the record debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. This past December, “Even In Arcadia” already achieved gold status in the band’s home country of the United Kingdom.

In the US, a platinum album or single is worth 1,000,000 copies, whereas a gold record is worth 500,000 copies. The certifications take into account digital streams and downloads in addition to traditional physical and digital sales, with 1500 on-demand audio and video streaming from a specific album qualifying as a unit and 10 permanent track downloads counting as a unit. A track-equivalent unit is also equivalent to 150 streams of a song.
