In 2025, Slayer will play the yearly “Louder Than Life” festival in Louisville, Kentucky, after making a few live reunion festival appearances this year. The well-known California band was originally supposed to play at this year’s festival, but Hurricane Helene’s bad weather forced them to postpone their appearance. In fact, the second day of the festival was canceled due to safety concerns over wind.

We can’t wait to welcome fans back to finish what we started this year and celebrate the return of Slayer. Our team is hard at work finalizing an incredible lineup that we can’t wait to reveal this winter. It’s going to be epic, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in Louisville next September. The upcoming “Louder Than Life” festival will take place at the Kentucky Exposition Center’s Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville, Kentucky, from September 18–21. This November, early bird passes will go on sale, and attendees may sign up at louderthanlifefestival.com. Fans who missed Slayer‘s appearance at the recent “Aftershock” event have additional alternatives in addition to the previously offered transferability of tickets for the cancelled show in September. Those who purchased tickets for this year’s “Louder Than Life” event that was canceled on September 27th may also be eligible for discounts and reimbursements.

DWP has also announced the benefits for 2024 passholders who were affected by the weather cancelation on Friday, September 27. Single-Day Friday pass holders can receive a full refund, or a credit applied to the purchase of 2025 passes while Weekend pass holders can receive a 25% refund or a credit applied to the purchase of 2025 passes. Fans will receive emails with all the details, including how to activate their offer.
