Slayer announces pop-up shop in Los Angeles for the 40th anniversary of “Reign In Blood”

Slayer have announced a special three-day pop-up shop in Los Angeles to mark the 40th anniversary of their landmark 1986 album “Reign In Blood”. The event will take place November 12–14, immediately before and during the thrash metal veterans’ two sold-out concerts at the Kia Forum on November 13 and 14.

Organized in partnership with Global Merchandising Services, the pop-up will offer anniversary-themed merchandise, exclusive designs and limited-edition collectibles tied to one of the most influential releases in thrash metal history.

Slayer pop-up shop location and exclusive merchandise

The store will be located at 6250 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, near the W Hotel and Amoeba Music. It will stock the official “Reign In Blood” 40th-anniversary collection alongside items available only at the temporary location.

One of the more unusual offerings will be a limited quantity of “Reign In Blood” liquid zoetrope vinyl records drawn from the band’s own reserve. These copies will be bundled with a commemorative triptych and coin created for the anniversary.

Visitors will also receive a QR code that provides an opportunity to enter a giveaway for a signed Slayer setlist or merchandise pack. The band says further details, including the shop’s opening hours and the complete product lineup, will be announced soon.

Limited tickets for the Kia Forum concerts

Although both Kia Forum performances are officially sold out, a small number of production-hold tickets were recently released. Organizers say a limited quantity of general admission tickets will also be available to purchase at the pop-up shop, while supplies last.

The concerts celebrate four decades of “Reign In Blood”, which was released on October 7, 1986. Produced by Rick Rubin, the album helped redefine the speed, intensity and production of thrash metal, with tracks such as “Angel Of Death” and “Raining Blood” becoming central parts of the band’s legacy.

The current Slayer live lineup features Tom Araya on bass and vocals, Kerry King and Gary Holt on guitars, and Paul Bostaph on drums—the same lineup that completed the group’s farewell tour in 2019.

The American thrash metal group Slayer, based in Huntington Park, California, was founded in 1981 by drummer Dave Lombardo, bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, and guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman. Slayer was one of the “big four” bands of thrash metal, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax, thanks to their fast-paced, violent sound. King, Araya, drummer Paul Bostaph, and guitarist Gary Holt make up Slayer‘s current lineup. Holt joined the band as a touring musician in 2011 before becoming a permanent member following Hanneman’s death in 2013; drummer Jon Dette was previously a member.
