Swedish doom collective Skogskult has unveiled their new single “Jag Ger Mig Av.” The track offers a hypnotic glimpse into their self-titled debut, which arrives on December 5, 2025 via Bonebag Records. It expands on the band’s heavy, atmospheric sound with thick fuzz, poetic lyrics, and a strong sense of mysticism.

Formed in Umeå in 2022, Skogskult rose from Sweden’s underground metal scene. Their influences include Sleep, Electric Wizard, and Monolord, but they have forged their own identity. Each song begins as an instrumental jam before growing into a slow, ritual-like journey. Later, they pair the music with lyrics adapted from original poetry. This process creates something that feels both ancient and alive.

Working once again with producer Max Malmer (Aftermath, Cavern Deep) helped shape the band’s signature sound. The result is massive, yet intimate. Writing entirely in Swedish allows them to capture emotions that would be lost in translation. Their lyrics draw from Nordic folklore, occult gatherings, and the deep pull of nature. These themes have become the backbone of their music.

Following earlier singles “Pakten” and “Turs,” “Jag Ger Mig Av” arrives with striking visuals that expand their mythic world. Drummer Alexander Söderlund, who also directed the video for “Turs,” continues to bring the songs to life through haunting imagery.
