New York’s boundary-pushing trio Show Me the Body have officially released a studio version of their cover of “Sabotage”, originally by Beastie Boys. The cover was produced by Kenneth Blume and comes with a cinematic video created in collaboration with the conflict news collective Popular Front.

Vocalist Julian Cashwan Pratt described the collaboration as a self-fulfilling prophecy, noting the band’s admiration for Popular Front and framing the release as a New York band covering a New York classic while carrying a message of solidarity.

The track had already become a live favorite before its official release. The original “Sabotage” was released by Beastie Boys in 1994 as part of “Ill Communication”.
