SETYØURSAILS have returned with “Paralyzed”, their first original release in two years. The track features Stray From The Path vocalist Drew York and marks the German band’s first single through Odyssey Music Network, opening a new chapter following 2024’s “Bad Blood”.
Rather than staying within one subgenre, the song brings together hardcore, metal, post-hardcore and alternative influences. Frontwoman Jules Mitch shares vocal duties with York, whose abrasive delivery complements the band’s shifts between heavier passages and more melodic moments.
According to the band’s announcement, “Paralyzed” deals with social division, anger and the exhaustion that comes from watching events unfold without knowing how to respond. At its heart is the question of when simply observing problems becomes insufficient and action is needed.
York’s guest appearance reinforces that message. His work with Stray From The Path is associated with politically and socially conscious hardcore, making him a fitting collaborator for a track built around frustration and resistance. The contrast between his vocals and Mitch’s performance is one of the release’s defining elements.
SETYØURSAILS made their full-length debut with “Enough” in 2018 before releasing “Nightfall” in 2022 and “Bad Blood” in 2024. Over the years, the band have built an audience through extensive touring across Europe and the United Kingdom, including headline shows and appearances alongside Annisokay, Emil Bulls and Beyond The Black.
The new single arrives as the group prepares for further live activity. The first confirmed dates of the 2027 Paralyzed Tour include Prague on April 1, Leipzig on April 2 and Berlin on April 3. More information is available through the band’s booking agency.
With a new label partnership, a high-profile guest vocalist and an upcoming tour, “Paralyzed” serves as the starting point for the band’s next phase.
