Brighton doom/sludge act Sea Bastard reveal “Prophet of the People,” the first single from their upcoming third album “Cyclopean.” The record will be released on October 30 through Road to Masochist, on double black 12″ vinyl and CD.
Sea Bastard formed in 2011 and moved quickly. Their self-titled debut arrived in 2012, and “Scabrous” followed in 2013. Along the way, they toured with Witchsorrow and Primitive Man, and they played festivals such as Desertfest, Damnation and Temples. After split releases with Keeper in 2015 and Primitive Man in 2016, the band went quiet while its members turned to other projects. However, they reunited in 2021 at the request of a terminally ill friend, and “Cyclopean” marks their return after five years.
Paul Win Audio recorded, mixed and mastered the album. Guitarist Oliver “Irongiant” Hill created the artwork.
