Scary Kids Scaring Kids are back with another single, “Oblivion”, and this time they’ve teamed up with Kat Leon of Holy Wars for a hauntingly atmospheric collaboration. The track is now available for streaming—check it out below or find it on your favorite platform.
“Oblivion” was produced by Chad Crawford, with mixing handled by Kris Crummett and vocal mixing by CJ Eiriksson, ensuring the song’s intense emotion and layered soundscapes come through crystal clear.
The single is the latest preview of the band’s upcoming album, “Maps Written In Water”, set for release on July 11th, 2025, via Velocity Records. The record has already been teased with “State of Disrepair”, featuring Paul Rose on vocals.
The full tracklist promises a dynamic array of guest appearances, each adding their unique voice to the mix. Expect to hear Taylor Hanson and Lacey Sturm (formerly of Flyleaf) on “Burnout”, Craig Mabbitt of Escape the Fate on “Adrenaline”, and Toby Morrell of Emery lending his vocals to “Aftermath (Give It Up)”.
Formed in 2002 in Gilbert, Arizona, Scary Kids Scaring Kids made their mark in the mid-2000s with their breakout albums “The City Sleeps in Flames” (2005) and “Scary Kids Scaring Kids” (2007). Though the band faced tragedy with the passing of original vocalist Tyson Stevens in 2014, they returned to the scene in 2019 with renewed energy and purpose.
