Saxon release update about the new album and Biff Byford’s health

Legendary British heavy metal band Saxon has finished recording their 25th studio album, which is expected to be released in late 2026, as per Blabbermouth. Biff Byford, the frontman of Saxon, sent a video message on social media on January 27. Byford also provided an update on his battle with colon cancer.

We’ve finished the album now. [Longtime Saxon producer and Judas Priest touring guitarist] Andy Sneap’s finished mixing the album, the new album. So, you’re gonna be hearing about that over the summer, I’m sure. I’ve got some new news on the operation. [It’s been] six months now since my cancer operation, and I had a CT scan and everything is clear. So that’s good news after the op, so there’s nothing come back. So that’s really good.

The next album from Saxon will be the sequel to “Hell, Fire And Damnation,” which was released by Silver Lining Music in January 2024.
